Kevin Leslie
Founder, Head Coach, Recruiting Advisor
Kevin founded At The Thousand to provide high school rowers, from all over the country, the insights and direction to take ownership of their training, navigate recruiting, and find the best college “fit” for them.
The journey started during Kevin’s time as a Division 1 coach and recruiting coordinator for his alma mater, the Saint Joseph’s University men’s program, when he discovered a passion for enlightening athletes on the value of college rowing, and helping them make the right decision for themselves, as they navigate the recruiting process.
As a D1 rower at SJU, beginning his career as a college walk-on, without any prior rowing experience, Kevin’s love of rowing and training evolved into what it is today.
Along with coaching, Kevin also hosts the At The Thousand Podcast where he talks with top college coaches, Olympic medalists, and many other rowing experts about rowing performance, leadership, college recruiting, and personal development.
Still training today, Kevin’s competed in multiple marathons, lifts weights, trains Brazilian jiu-jitsu, as well as “steppin’ into it” on the erg every morning!
Earned degrees in both Finance and Risk Management from SJU
Earned his Masters in Educational Leadership at SJU

Delaney McGuire
ATT Summer Coach & Current D1 Coach
With 8 years as a Division 1 college rowing coach, Delaney’s coaching experience and passion for rowing makes her a great fit as a lead coach in our summer training program.
Currently the Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the Eastern Michigan University women’s rowing program, Delaney’s knowledge of the college rowing landscape, and what makes athletes successful at the college level, makes her an incredible resource for aspiring college rowers.
Before coaching, Delaney had success as a four year athlete for the Saint Joseph’s University women’s rowing program. She also served as an assistant coach for her alma mater prior to her current role at Eastern Michigan.
As an athlete, Delaney still actively trains, having ran multiple marathons, competing for the USA rowing team at the World University Games in 2018, and hopping on the erg no matter what time of year!
